At the Château de La Colle Noire in the south of France, Christian Dior’s historic home, the luxury fashion house unveiled its newest high jewelry collection, Diorexquis, on Friday. The event introduced 163 dazzling creations designed by Victoire de Castellane, artistic director of Dior Joaillerie, each one a tribute to beauty, joy, and imagination.
Drawing inspiration from enchanted gardens and moonlit nights, the collection evokes the feeling of entering a miniature dreamworld. Think trees sculpted in gold, diamond-studded stars, and a night sky made from mother-of-pearl. “Exquisite” seems the perfect word to describe the mood.
De Castellane, speaking to WWD during fittings in Paris before the show, explained her creative approach: “I quite like playing with qualifiers that speak of the marvelous, of the charming, of ravishing things—about desire and joy.”
Her designs were paired with 25 couture dresses by Maria Grazia Chiuri, Dior’s womenswear creative director. The result was a dazzling fusion of fashion and fine jewelry, where the gems weren’t merely worn—they danced. A 13-carat oval-cut diamond, over 45 carats of vivid yellow diamonds, and a rare 10-carat Colombian emerald were among the highlights.
Beyond the value of the stones, the collection’s magic lies in the details. Jewelry pieces peeked playfully from waists, adorned the nape of the neck, and even took the form of a gem-covered lipstick case necklace. Each item was made to inspire wonder and fun—both for the wearer and the viewer.
“For me, creation is about having fun, finding something that makes you dream,” de Castellane said. “It’s about searching for joy at all costs and pushing it toward dreams.”
Behind the scenes, Dior’s artisans used time-honored techniques to bring this vision to life, blending heritage craftsmanship with boundless imagination. The result: a collection that doesn’t just sparkle—it tells a story of joy, beauty, and the art of dreaming.
